Lori Patton Davis to Challenge Narratives Surrounding Brown v. Board of Education in 18th Annual Brown Lecture—Register Now

Following the ÐÜèÊÓÆµ2021 Virtual Annual Meeting, ÐÜèÊÓÆµleadership engaged the Center for Applied Research to conduct an independent performance assessment to evaluate what contributed to the virtual meeting’s underperformance and to determine what could be improved for future meetings. Read more

ÐÜèÊÓÆµhas announced the recipients of 10 new Education Research Service Projects awards. Since its inception in 2012, the ÐÜèÊÓÆµERSP initiative has sought to support pro bono service and promote the value of such work widely in the education research profession. Read more

House Build Back Better Act Includes Funding for R&D Infrastructure
Throughout September, the House has been working to advance the Build Back Better Act, a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation package that includes many of President Biden’s priorities advanced in the proposals for the American Jobs Plan and the American Families Plan earlier this year. Read more

White House Issues R&D Priorities for FY 2023
On August 27, the White House Office of Management and Budget and Office of Science and Technology Policy released a memorandum to federal agencies to provide guidance on multi-agency research and development priorities for the FY 2023 Budget. Read more

In Memoriam

ÐÜèÊÓÆµmembers who have recently passed away

Roger Weissberg, 69, died on September 5. He was a distinguished professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Illinois Chicago. Weissberg was an ÐÜèÊÓÆµFellow, founder of the ÐÜèÊÓÆµSocial and Emotional Learning Special Interest Group, and a member of ÐÜèÊÓÆµDivision H—Research, Evaluation, and Assessment in Schools.
