Final FY 2019 Appropriations Signed Into Law; Work Begins on FY 2020 Budget Cycle
President Donald Trump signed a law that finalized appropriations for FY 2019 hours before the government was set to shut down on February 15. Read more

IES Funds Three National Research and Development Centers
On February 6, the Institute of Education Sciences announced that it has awarded $25 million in grant funding to the University of Missouri, Harvard University, and the University of California, Irvine, to establish three national research and development centers focused on improving rural education and secondary student writing.
