Levine has held leadership positions in the organization since its launch in 2009. AERA’s International Relations Committee seeks to enhance the focus on international research within the association and encourage participation of education researchers worldwide in èƵactivities and opportunities.
The World Education Research Association (WERA) is an association of national, regional, and international specialty research associations aimed at advancing education research as a scientific and scholarly field.
As part of its mission to enhance the focus on international research within the association and encourage participation of education researchers worldwide in èƵactivities, the International Relations Committee is responsible for the administration of a travel grant program in support in particular of emerging scholars from developing countries who are giving papers at the Annual Meeting. The committee also holds 10 sessions and symposia at the Annual Meeting that are constituted based permanently on the èƵopen call for submissions. With attendees from virtually every part of the world, the association’s Annual Meeting is a key gathering point for international scholars.
