ÐÜèÊÓÆµis holding its Virtual Awards Celebration on December 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET. The interactive, dynamic multimedia event will honor recipients of the 2021 AERA-wide awards and give attendees an inside look at those with exemplary accomplishments across areas of study and career stages. The celebration will include a special tribute to members of the research community who died this year. ÐÜèÊÓÆµPresident Na’ilah Suad Nasir and ÐÜèÊÓÆµExecutive Director Felice J. Levine will co-host the event. Underscoring the importance of public service especially during these challenging times, ÐÜèÊÓÆµis pleased to confer the Distinguished Public Service Award this year to Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (D-VA) for his tireless work to advance an agenda of educational equity. A long-time friend of education research, Rep. Scott has always listened to evidence and sought to understand the true impact of changes to policy beyond the politics and posturing often found in government.
