Gongjun Xu Extended as JEBS Editor with Minjeong Jeon as New Co-Editor
ÐÜèÊÓÆµhas announced that the current editorship of Gongjun Xu (University of Michigan) for the Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics has been extended through 2027. Joining Xu for the extended term will be Minjeong Jeon (University of California, Los Angeles), who will serve as co-editor effective July 1, 2024. Read more

Federal Funding Opportunities

The IES FY 2025 education research grants program RFA is now available. This program supports basic and applied research focused on improving education experiences and outcomes for learners in the United States. Applications are due September 12.

The National Center for Education Research at IES released a funding announcement for FY 2025 grants for Statistical and Research Methodology in Education. The application deadline is September 12.

In Memoriam

ÐÜèÊÓÆµmembers who have recently passed away

Danielle Cowley, 44, died on June 6. She was an associate professor at Alfred University. She served as co-chair of the Disability Studies in Education Special Interest Group from 2017 to 2021.

Caroline Sotello Viernes Turner, 78, died on June 19. She was professor emerita for the doctorate in educational leadership program at California State University, Sacramento and Lincoln professor emerita of higher education and ethics at Arizona State University. She received the ÐÜèÊÓÆµScholars of Color in Education Distinguished Career Contribution Award in 2009.
