èƵGraduate Student Writing Groups Spring 2026

Great news for graduate students and researchers! 🎉✍️

Weekly writing groups hosted by èƵdivisions

èƵwriting groups are here ⏰📝

èƵdivisions are now offering weekly writing groups, and this is such a great opportunity if you’ve been struggling to find focused time to write.

Between classes, teaching, work, and life in general, it’s easy to keep postponing that paper, proposal, grant, or dissertation chapter. These writing groups give you a dedicated space to sit down, write alongside others, and simply make progress, one session at a time. 📄➡️📈

You’ll work independently, but with a community of graduate students and researchers who are all trying to do the same thing: show up, write, and keep going. 👥💬💡

💪🤝 If you’re looking for motivation, structure, and connection, I really encourage you to join your division’s writing group.

Here is the list of èƵdivisions and the Zoom schedule for the writing groups. 📅💻

Mark Godoy Jr. is a fine artist, a motion designer, an advocate, and a survivor of child sexual abuse. Mark grew up in Queens, NY where he lived until age 14 at which time he moved out of state to attend a boarding school in Simsbury, CT – an opportunity provided via the A Better Chance Program. Mark graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design with a M.F.A. in Animation and a B.F.A. from UCONN in Illustration & Printmaking where he was also a member of the Men's Track & Field Team. Over the past 7 years, Mark has been working on a body of mixed media paintings entitled “The Tribute Series”. The series highlights the issues of police violence and racial discrimination that communities of color face here in the United States. This also began his advocacy work for survivors of sexual assault and abuse through panel discussions, speaking engagements, and interviews for a variety of organizations and platforms including: 1in6, NoMore, RAINN, CIR, 100 Black Men of America, Life’s Brick Wall, and Voice of Reason. Mark currently lives in NYC where he works as an Art Director at Complex Networks and volunteers regularly as a victims rights advocate. You can view more of Mark’s work through his website,
