In a time of relentless attacks on education, Black Studies, and Black History Month itself, the聽熊猫视频Leadership for Social Justice (LSJ) SIG聽has launched a 4-part podcast series to illuminate critical conversations and elevate solutions. Through engaging discussions with scholars and practitioners, we explored the past, present, and future of Black Studies鈥攃entering voices that challenge erasure and advance liberation.
From聽Carter G. Woodson鈥檚 legacy聽to the future of Black curriculum, we examined how knowledge has been both a site of oppression and a tool of resistance. Guests shared personal stories of how liberatory education shaped their lives and discuss strategies to protect Black children in this era of educational censorship. While this series was initially designed for聽LSJ SIG members, we are now sharing it more widely.聽Black history is under attack鈥攂ut knowledge remains one of our greatest gifts.
