Approved April 2026, 2025 at the SIG business meeting in Denver, CO during ÐÜèÊÓƵ2025
TACTL’s primary mission
is to disseminate both theoretical and practical understandings of technology as an agent of change in teaching and learning. We view change agents as entities that transform and enrich education in classroom, organizational, and societal contexts.
This ÐÜèÊÓƵSIG has been constituted to fulfill two purposes:
Prepare educators to be agents of change in a technology-driven world through teacher education and professional development in formal and informal learning settings
Examine how educators and technology impact learners and their learning processes from diverse research perspectives.
To accomplish these purposes, TACTL’s professional activities and presentations will:
Facilitate communication and increase the shared professional knowledge necessary to reach the purposes;
Capture research findings from these projects and extend them into future programs of practice.
