Early Career Award in CHAT

¶Ù±ð²õ³¦°ù¾±±è³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:ÌýThe Early Career Research Award aims to reconize the methods and topics of study of younger generation CHAT researchers. The Award acknowledgesÌýthe contribution of one person, or co-authors, who have contributed a piece of work (e.g.,Ìýa book chapter, research article,ÌýorÌýmonograph)Ìýthat 1) moves the field of CHAT research or theory in a particularly interesting direction, 2) elaborates a concept or set of concepts in a particularly helpful way, or 3) provides links across research and practice that prove foundational. This award should be given to individuals who are at least 3 years past completion of the doctoral degree.Ìý

Nomination Process and Timeline:ÌýThe candidate must be nominated by two membersÌýof the CH ResearchÌýSIG.Ìý

The deadline for the nominations is January 10, 2024.Ìý

The winner will be given a plaque with an inscription to be presented at the SIG business meeting at the ÐÜèÊÓÆµannual meeting and invited to give an invited talk at aÌýSIG-sponsored session of the annual meeting.

Announcement of the Awardee will be made through email to SIG members, on the SIG Facebook page, and at the SIG business meeting at the ÐÜèÊÓÆµannual meeting.

Graduate Student Award

¶Ù±ð²õ³¦°ù¾±±è³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:ÌýThe Graduate Student Award recognizes the original research of one graduate student who employs CHAT methods and studies CHAT related topics. Nominees must be enrolled in a university doctoral program. The award recognizes quality research produced by a graduate student, either as doctoral research or pre-doctoral research. Candidates must be nominated by a member of the CH Research SIG.Ìý

The winner will be given a plaque with an inscription to be presented at the SIG business meeting at the ÐÜèÊÓÆµannual meeting and receive a $500 stipend. The winner will also beÌýinvited to make a presentation at a SIG-sponsored session of the annual Business Meeting.

Lifetime Contribution to Cultural-Historical Research Award

¶Ù±ð²õ³¦°ù¾±±è³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:ÌýThe Lifetime Contribution to Cultural Historical Research Award was established to recognize the career long contributions to educational research of a scholar employing a Cultural Historical orientation. TheÌýcontributions can be reflected in foundational books,Ìýseries of publications, lectures, conference presentations, grants, speeches, and important engagement with the field broadly speaking including outreach and service. The candidate must be nominated by a member of the SIG.

Nomination Process and Timeline:ÌýThe candidate must be nominated by a member of the SIG.

Nomination packets should include a letter of nomination and a copy of the candidate’s CV. All nominations should be submitted electronically.
