ÐÜèÊÓƵis pleased to share that the association is partnering with RhythmQ to develop an enhanced online application submission, nomination, and review platform. RhythmQ was selected after a competitive request for proposal process led by ÐÜèÊÓƵstaff and co-chaired by Phoebe Stevenson, Senior Advisor, and George L. Wimberly, Director of Professional Development.

The submission system will launch in early October and begin accepting applications for the Minority Dissertation Fellowship Program and the Undergraduate Student Education Research Training Workshop, as well as nominations for the ÐÜèÊÓƵFellows Program. Other programs will soon follow as they begin accepting proposals and applications.

“We are pleased to offer ÐÜèÊÓƵmembers and the education research community the latest technology to apply or nominate for our programs and awards and to facilitate the review process,” said ÐÜèÊÓƵExecutive Director Felice J. Levine. “This investment in technological innovation will greatly enhance the user experience for applicants, nominators, and reviewers.”

The enhanced system will provide custom online applications for ÐÜèÊÓƵfellowships and grants, awards, conferences, and other programs requiring an application/nomination and review process. Applicants will be able to access the submission system through MyAERA, the ÐÜèÊÓƵmembership portal.

Applicants will be able to upload required documents and monitor the status of their application through the new system. Their letters of recommendation will also be able to be uploaded to the new submission portal. Reviewers will use this system through a confidential portal to review proposals and, in some cases, provide feedback that will be available to candidates at the conclusion of the application/review/selection process.

ÐÜèÊÓƵplans to hold a webinar on how to use the new application system for the Undergraduate Student Education Research Training Workshop and Minority Dissertation Fellowship in October. Webinar details and the registration link will be shared widely once the training has been scheduled. The webinar will be recorded and made available on the ÐÜèÊÓƵwebsite.
