New Editor Team to Take Helm of AERJ
ÐÜèÊÓÆµhas just announced the new editor team for the American Educational Research Journal (AERJ) for the 2020–2022 volume years. Ellen Goldring has been appointed as editor-in-chief, and Michael Cunningham, Sean Kelly, Madeline Mavrogordato, and Peter Youngs will serve as coeditors. Read more

House Appropriations Committee Advances FY 2020 Bills for Education Research Agencies
On May 8, the House Appropriations Committee held a markup hearing on the 2020 fiscal year Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies appropriations bill. The bill advanced on a 30–23 party line vote. Read more

NIH OBSSR Releases Updated Definition of Behavioral and Social Science Research
The National Institutes of Health Office of Behavioral and Social Science Research announced a revised definition of “behavioral and social science research” on May 14 after seeking public input earlier this year. Read more

White House OSTP to Examine Improving Research Environments
On May 7, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy announced the creation of the National Science and Technology Council Joint Committee on Improving Research Environments. Read more
