August 1

The deadline for paper and session submissions for the 2026 ÐÜèÊÓÆµAnnual Meeting was extended a week—from July 25 to August 1. ÐÜèÊÓÆµis pleased to hold the Annual Meeting on April 8–12, 2026, in Los Angeles and welcomes your submissions.

James Banks to Deliver Call for Renewed Civic Education in Brown Lecture on October 23
James A. Banks, the Kerry and Linda Killinger Endowed Chair in Diversity Studies Emeritus and founding director of the Center for Multicultural Education (now the Banks Center for Educational Justice) at the University of Washington, will present the 2025 Brown Lecture in Education Research on Thursday, October 23, at 6:00 p.m. ET. Read more

AERA, Research Groups Call for Civil Rights Data Action Amid Ongoing Turmoil in Federal Research
In a July 8 letter to Education Secretary Linda McMahon and Acting Assistant Secretary Craig Trainor, ÐÜèÊÓÆµand 10 other leading education research groups urged the U.S. Department of Education to finalize the Civil Rights Data Collection for the 2025–26 school year. Read more
