On April 28, the Federal Register published a notice from the Census Bureau stating that the agency will retain Person Question No. 12 – Undergraduate Field of Degree in the American Community Survey.
The House Science Committee passed the America COMPETES Act on April 22, despite opposition by the broad science community, including
AERA.
Congress is in the midst of developing a budget and determining funding levels for the 2016 fiscal year. The House and Senate Budget Committee chairs have advanced a compromise agreement.
