Lead The Change
As usual, we have another wonderful Lead the Changethis month. We are featuring Dr. Taeyeon Kimof University of Nebraska Lincoln who speaks to elevating the voices of AAPI educators and leaders and calls our community to remember its roots in inclusivity and equity.Thank you to our author and editor Dr. Lamb.Enjoy and if you have suggestions for people to feature or would like to write for us - let us know!

We Need Your Leadership!:ALL the leadership positionson the SIG are up for election and we need wonderful candidates like you to throw your hat in the ring.

To aid in this process - I provided a brief overview of each position below - of course, please reach out if you want to know more.
Chair- facilitates leadership team meetings, supports all aspects of the SIG, helps build and execute a strategic vision to best serve and meet the needs of members, writes newsletter etc. Communicates with èƵon all SIG business. Workload is steady (though manageable) throughout the year and follows the patterns of all other officers..
Program Chair -leads all aspects of èƵprogramming including soliciting reviewers, managing reviews, creating sessions, selecting and supporting chairs and discussants. Helps create SIG programming throughout the year and other partnerships. Workload heaviest August-October per èƵdeadlines.
Treasurer/Security - Obtains SIG bank statement on a monthly basis and checks for accuracy. Works with the chair on getting and then processing donations and sponsorship. Processes invoices and receipts and organizes catering for all SIG èƵactivities.
- Communicate with èƵfor payment discrepancies etc. Workload heaviest nearing AERA.
