Welcome to the opening of registration for the 2023 ÐÜèÊÓƵAnnual Meeting!
Each year, the ÐÜèÊÓƵ Annual Meeting is the world's largest gathering of education researchers and a showcase for groundbreaking, innovative studies in an array of areas. The conference will be dual-component, with the place-based component to be held in Chicago, April 13–16, and the virtual component to be held on an online platform on May 4–5.
Regardless of how registrants attend, the 2023 Annual Meeting will be a can’t-miss event for intellectual engagement, reconnecting with colleagues and building new professional networks with other attendees. The meeting program will be released on January 20. Registration is required to attend the place-based or virtual components of the ÐÜèÊÓƵAnnual Meeting.
Register now and join thousands of scholars from education research and aligned fields and disciplines at the 2023 meeting and select from more than 2,000 substantive sessions featuring high-quality and timely education research.
ÐÜèÊÓƵoffers different registration rates for place-based and virtual-only attendees. Those registering for the place-based meeting in Chicago can take advantage of an early bird discount through March 10.
Attendees for the place-based meeting in Chicago will automatically be registered for and able to access and attend the virtual meeting and other virtual components of the place-based meeting at no extra charge.
Those registered only for the virtual meeting will have access to the two-day virtual meeting on May 4-5 and also be able to view a selected number of place-based Chicago sessions via web-streaming, including the opening plenary, the Presidential address, major lectures, and a number of Presidential sessions and AERA-wide special sessions. Virtual meeting attendees will also have access to the recordings of these select sessions, as well as recordings of all virtual sessions in the online platform’s video library.
For the 2023 Annual Meeting, the registration process, which is fully integrated with the membership join/renew process, will take place entirely through My AERA, the entry point for AERA’s association management system on the ÐÜèÊÓƵwebsite. Whether you are an ÐÜèÊÓƵmember or not, you likely have an ÐÜèÊÓƵaccount. If you have forgotten your username or password, please select Forgot Your User Name and/or Password? to reset. If you do not have an ÐÜèÊÓƵaccount, please select Activate or Create My Account and use your NOAH ID/CONTACT #/ÐÜèÊÓƵ# 964029 to create a username and password.
If you are not a current 2023 ÐÜèÊÓƵmember, consider joining or renewing first. On the registration site, after reviewing your contact/profile information, click “Join or Renew for the 2023 Membership Year” so that you can take advantage of the discounted member registration rate. Once your membership transaction is placed in the Shopping Cart, you can return to the Registration site by clicking on “Continue to the Registation Form.”
To register, simply follow the prompts to select your registration option, plus any optional events, such as professional development courses. ÐÜèÊÓƵregistrants who are interested in registering for the National Council on Measurement Education (NCME) may select the preferred joint registration option. You can also request information on accessibilty and childcare services before proceeding to accept the terms and conditions for the Annual Meeting and make payment.
ÐÜèÊÓƵMembers Receive Deep Discount on Registration Fee To qualify for the ÐÜèÊÓƵregistration member rate, your membership must be current through 2023. Note: Adjustments and/or refunds for registration fees will not be given to individuals who register at the non-member rate and later join AERA.
Proof of Vaccination and Masking All attendees must have UP-TO-DATE VACCINATION and at least one booster to attend in person. Mask wearing is strongly encouraged, but not required, in common areas. We expect attendees will be unmasked while eating or drinking. Mutual respect and health and safety remain priority goals.
ÐÜèÊÓƵwill use SafeAccess as the vendor responsible for confirming the vaccination status of registrants. Shortly after completion of your registration, you will receive a personalized email invitation from SafeAccess to verify your vaccination status. ÐÜèÊÓƵencourages those attending the Chicago meeting with U.S. and non-U.S. vaccination cards to do so in advance. SafeAccess will also have staff on-site in Chicago to review vaccination documentation in accord with ÐÜèÊÓƵvaccination policy that is required to obtain a badge and gain access to the Annual Meeting.
Housing for Place-Based Attendees in Chicago At the completion of the registration process, the confirmation e-mail message will include a link to the ÐÜèÊÓƵHousing Bureau for registrants to make hotel reservations.
