Welcome to Division F, Historical Inquiry in Education! I want to extend my deepest appreciation for your support in my new role as Division F Vice-President, and am looking  forward to engaging with many of you in the next three years. I and the new leadership team will do our best to continue the strong tradition of past VPs and leaders to forefront the foundational work of historical inquiry in education research. Our scholarship and advocacy are needed now more than ever.

I also want to introduce you to the new leadership team! You will notice that we have three new section chairs for programming, marking an exciting new endeavor for Division F:

• Callie Avondet (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign), Senior Graduate Student Representative

• Makamae Sniffen (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Junior Graduate Student Representative

We look forward to the 2027 AERA Annual Meeting in Toronto. The theme is "Transcending Borders and Boundaries in Education Research: Toward a Beloved Global Community". Review the Call for Submissions, and submit a proposal by July 24, 2026.
